How the automatic check works
- Each supported provider’s own machine-readable price list is read, from the provider’s own address only, a few requests per provider.
- Each price is matched to exactly the same product: the same plan or instance id, vCPUs, memory, GPU count, zone, billing unit and currency. A different product, unit or term is never treated as the same price.
- The daily check never publishes by itself: a result reaches this page, and a check date moves, only after the site owner has reviewed and approved it. No price is changed automatically: every difference waits for review until a provider's terms are cleared for automatic updates (none is yet). Even then, only a small verified change (up to 25%) from a source proven for automatic updates would be applied; a larger change, a price that disappeared or became zero, a changed product, and all GPU and euro-priced items always wait for review.
- When a source cannot be reached or returns something unreadable, nothing changes: the price keeps its previous check date, and this page says the last attempt failed.
- A price change announced for a later date is stored with that date and never applied early.
Prices a provider lists in euros are compared in euros. Their US dollar figure uses the exchange rate recorded with the dataset, so a new exchange rate never counts as a price change. How we collect and verify everything else is on the methodology page.
What the labels on price rows mean
- The provider’s price list stated exactly the price we show, on the date given.
- The price list stated a new price, which we applied with the date it took effect.
- The machine-readable list states a different figure than the pricing page we cite, as the row’s note explains; the price shown keeps its research check date.

Prices not republished means the provider’s terms do not allow its prices in a comparison service; we link to its live pricing instead and never check or copy those prices.
